Eoin has significant legal experience in a wide range of disciplines. Having qualified in 2011 he carried out extensive high-level litigation work in Brendan Kearney & Co for a number of years. This mainly consisted of advising and representing private individuals on catastrophic injuries in the High Court. After a number of years of successfully representing clients in personal injury litigation, Eoin wanted to expand his legal knowledge base and his experience levels outside the realms of his family’s practice. He therefore returned to university in 2015 to undertake a Masters in Human Rights Law. After achieving a Distinction in the Masters he worked in a legal role in one of Ireland’s leading charities before working as a Prosecutor for a Council and then as part of the legal team in a prominent and high profile Public Inquiry.

After gaining invaluable experience in these areas he has since returned to the practice and taken over the growing medical negligence department in Brendan Kearney & Co. From a medical negligence perspective Eoin has advised on a wide range of issues and has developed particular expertise in advising on cases relating to surgical error, delays in diagnosis, and birth trauma. He maintains a high volume of cases and is insistent upon being open to advising clients on any issue they feel they would like advice on from a healthcare perspective, regardless of whether this amounts to a case being instigated. Given the seriousness of injuries incurred by clients as a result of medical practitioner substandard care, Eoin has made a conscious decision to devote his entire professional practice to this ever-evolving and growing field of legal work. Eoin is a keen sportsman and has been a lifelong football player and fan. He has recently taken up golf and hopes to improve his game in the coming years. Eoin is also an avid music fan and likes to play the guitar in his spare time.
